Engagement with Cooperative Urban Farm MOST
The Cooperative Urban Farm MOST, a 3.6-hectare urban farm near the Siekierkowski Bridge and only 25 minutes from downtown Warsaw, seamlessly integrates cultivation and food production with education and community regeneration.
As a partner of the AMPLE Program in Warsaw, MOST will draw on its expertise in regenerative agriculture and community farming. Participants will gain knowledge and practical experience through hands-on activities.
Our goal is to develop a socio-business model that nurtures entrepreneurial opportunities and community integration. Collaborations with cooperatives, urban agriculture initiatives, migrant support organizations, and food-tech startups will be pivotal in building lasting alliances that elevate and promote the urban agrifood sector in Warsaw.
CoopTech Hub, operated by the PLZ Cooperative, is Poland’s first cooperative technology center. With a focus on community building through digital transformation, CoopTech Hub provides education, training, consulting, and its proprietary technological solutions. The hub also nurtures development cooperatives and energy communities, viewing innovation as a public service meant to be accessible and easily understood.
CoopTech Hub’s expertise is crucial to the AMPLE Programe, enhancing the technological and organizational aspects of the Cooperative Urban Farm MOST and its external projects.
Otwarte Drzwi Association: empowering people with disabilities through vocational and culinary training
The Otwarte Drzwi Association, a Warsaw-based NGO with nearly three decades of experience, has been a key advocate for preventing the social exclusion of vulnerable groups, including individuals with disabilities and youth from dysfunctional families.
As a partner in the AMPLE Program, Otwarte Drzwi will draw on its comprehensive vocational rehabilitation expertise to support individuals with intellectual disabilities in entering the agri-food sector. Participants will develop valuable skills and gain practical experience through targeted training, culinary workshops, and work trials at their social enterprise, "Kuchnia Czerwony Rower" Kitchen.
The program aims to dismantle employment stereotypes surrounding disability, empowering participants to demonstrate their capabilities and facilitating their integration into the labour market with the guidance of specialized coaches and advisors. By promoting social inclusion and economic empowerment, Otwarte Drzwi is creating pathways to sustainable employment and helping build a more inclusive workforce in Warsaw's agri-food industry.
Aligned with EIT Food’s mission, "Healthier Lives Through Food," AMPLE offers financial support to agrifood SMEs and startups. We encourage SMEs to enhance their production processes, strengthen their positive impact on local communities, or innovate food products to make them more affordable, accessible, and healthier.
