Eligibility

Whether you are a brilliant scientist with a breakthrough technology or business strategist looking for your next big venture, TeamUp provides the matchmaking, mentorship, and funding to help you co-create an impactful startup.

Seedbed TeamUp is open for the applicants who meet the following eligibility criteria:
 

For Tech co-founders applicants:

• You have an innovative agrifood technology/solution that has a potential to contribute to one or more EIT Food’s Missions or Themes (EIT Food’s Missions) and/or could provide deep tech solution in field of agrifood tech;
• You are a citizen of, or permanent resident in, one of the EU member states and/or Horizon Europe countries;     
• English proficiency: you submit a complete application in English and have a proficient level of English to participate in the TeamUp programme fully (approximately C1 level);
• Funding status: your technology hasn’t received more than €60,000 in funding from EIT Food in 2026;
• StartUp programme participation: are not currently participating in EIT Food EWA, EIT Food Seedbed Venture Catalyst, EIT Food FAN (Food Accelerator Network) or EIT Food RisingFoodStars programme. In case you are selected in one of the above programmes during participation in Seedbed TeamUp, you will be asked to choose a preferred programme to continue.

For Business co-founders applicants:

• You are a citizen of, or permanent resident in, one of the EU member states and/or Horizon Europe countries;
• Expertise: you have a proven track record in business development or entrepreneurship, preferably with a strong network in the agrifood sector;
• English proficiency: you submit a complete application in English and have a proficient level of English to participate in the TeamUp programme fully (approximately C1 level);
• Funding status: your technology hasn’t received more than €60,000 in funding from EIT Food in 2026;
• StartUp programme participation: are not currently participating in EIT Food EWA, EIT Food Seedbed Venture Catalyst, EIT Food FAN (Food Accelerator Network) or EIT Food RisingFoodStars programme. In case you are selected in one of the above programmes during participation in Seedbed TeamUp, you will be asked to choose a preferred programme to continue.
