HavExpo 22

Fri, April 26, 2024
Straume Idrettspark Idrettsvegen, 5353 Straume, Norway

About the Event

HavExpo is a new international fair for Norwegian aquaculture and fisheries. HavExpo will be held in May 2022. The fair, which runs over three effective days, will showcase the maritime industries in a quick and informative way. There will also be exciting lectures and seminars.

During the three hectic days, we have an extensive conference programme, with over 120 different lectures spread over two conference halls. The two conferences focus on news from, respectively, research and management and Innovation and technology.

EIT Food at HavExpo 22

EIT Food will be presenting a session at HavExpo entitled, “How EIT Food can support innovative, technological and sustainable solutions in the European aquaculture sector”. The session will be hosted by EIT Food Innovation Programme Manager, Mercedes Groba, and will include a presentation from EIT Food Partner, AquaPharma Group.

AquaPharma Group lead the BREEZE project, which was a part of EIT Food's 2021 sustainable aquculture competition. BREEZE rises to the challenge of increasing sea lice tolerance to bath treatments, while improving fish welfare and experience, validating, and minimising environmental impact, and helping farms avoid the financial losses they suffer as a result of sea lice.
