We often face challenges when buying food. This is because ideally, we should able to enjoy food that is tasty and nutritious, easy-to-make and environmentally sustainable. However, identifying products that meet all of these requirements can be difficult.

Glucanova AB is a research-based company situated in Sweden addressing global health and sustainability concerns and healthy liquid oat fibre products. Their research aims to develop functional drinks and concepts based on verified nutritional benefits and health claims.

In this video, CSO Ana Rascon discusses the importance of food transparency to rebuild trust in the food industry and help consumers make food choices that are both nutritious and sustainable.

“You have to be transparent with your ingredients. You have to declare everything you do, even the process, so people regain trust in the food industry.”

Ana is confident that accomplishing taste, nutrition, convenience and sustainability is possible, with foods such as oats ticking all of these boxes.
