The aim of EmprendeXXI, promoted by CaixaBank and granted with the collaboration of the Ministry of Industry, is to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit among the young ones, so the challenges that society has can be faced and solved.

Oscillum is a company promoted by UMH Biotechnology graduates Luis Chimeno, Pilar Granado and Pablo Sosa. The startup has developed a biodegradable smart label made up of polymers and chemical sensors. These are responsible for analysing and detecting the molecules produced by the decomposition of food. Thanks to these elements, the label changes colour depending on the level of decomposition. In order to continue advancing in its research and broadening the range of foods in which it can be used, the company is currently working on adapting this technology for fruit.

The startup has become the winner of the "Reto Semilla XXI" in the EmprendeXXI awards. The company will receive a 25,000 euros prize. Also, they will receive specialised training and contact with companies in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

We would like to congratulate our FAN 2021 alumni startup for the great path it is building.

For this IV edition, the startup cohort has been already selected and they have spent a whole week working together! If you wan to know more, click here.
