EWA|Empowering Women in Agrifood programme supports women at the early stage of business development by offering individual mentoring, dedicated training and additional funding. Participation in the EWA programme is free of charge, and every woman who would like to develop her business idea in the agri-food industry and is looking for professional support can take part in it. In 2023 and the 4th edition of the programme 110 amazing women from 11 countries (Estonia, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Romania and Ukraine) decided to join this 6-month entrepreneurial journey.

“LIVE UP TO YOUR FULL POTENTIAL – unleash your powers and free your mind” is the title of a 3-month training focusing on improving English communication skills in the international agrifood business area, especially for the purpose of creating and performing an amazing business pitch. Initiative – Centre for Education prepared two dedicated primary programs for female participants depending on their level of knowledge: BLOSSOM for beginners and REJUVENATE for intermediate and advanced Mentees. Each of the two programs includes 24 professional online sessions, and 12 different modules covering topics like mastering presentation and public speaking skills, agrifood vocabulary building, digital marketing for startups in agrifood, customer value, AI tools for business and additional supporting materials for all!

The goal is to provide EWA participants with the necessary knowledge, and confidence to fulfil and exceed their business aspirations, which will lead them to successfully start and develop a sustainable business. We do believe that this activity will be a great support for our women leaders to prepare their pitches and to present them during the finals of the EWA programme that will be organized in each country in November.

About Inicijativa

Centre for Education Initiative provides necessary knowledge of the English language, but also develops business skills. Utilizing the English language, participants are encouraged to boost the development of ideas, marketing, leadership, and soft skills such as networking. The result Inicijativa wants to achieve is to make female participants feel empowered and self-confident while taking steps to communicate in English. “We strongly believe we can give the opportunity to get rid of the fear and insecurities that accompany a lack of English proficiency. The aim of the Callan Method we use is to improve students' listening, comprehension, and speaking skills in English. The method focuses on real, spoken English directly communicating with native speakers.”
