Buzz & Connect - virtual networking round
After two rounds of great conversations, Buzz & Connect is back! This is your chance to network with a fellow FoodHIVE member through a 30-minute virtual chat. While we can’t promise an exact match, past participants have gained fresh insights, made valuable connections, and even discovered opportunities for collaboration.
⭐️ How it works
- Opt-in to get matched with another FoodHIVE member based on shared interests and expertise.
- We’ll introduce you to your match over email and send a calendar invite.
- Conversations will take place on 6 and 7 March, based on availability.
💬 What participants from the first round said:
- "Although our fields differed, we shared an interest in waste management and insects. I got insights into food waste solutions, a funding opportunity, and shared my own expertise."
- "What connected me to my match was our shared values and the way we looked beyond job titles. I loved every second of our talk!"
- "We had a wide-ranging conversation about agriculture, climate, and pollution. Hearing about the local challenges and ingenuity was inspiring—I’m now excited about urban gardening!"

Buzz & Connect guidelines
To ensure a positive experience for everyone, please follow these simple guidelines:
- Show up & respect each other’s time: if you need to reschedule, contact your match at least 1 day in advance—don’t just decline the invite. Use the calendar invite to find a new time. No-shows impact trust and engagement, so please honour your commitment.
- Communication & language: conversations will take place in English (unless both parties agree otherwise). A conversational level of spoken English is required to ensure a smooth exchange.
- Keep an open mind: even if you don’t see an immediate benefit, approach every conversation with curiosity—you never know what insights or connections may come from it!
EIT Food reserves the right to remove members from future participation if we notice repeated no-shows, lack of engagement, or violations of these guidelines. If you experience any issues or have concerns, please reach out to us at foodhive@eitfood.eu.
