Great enthusiasm of EWA entrepreneurs for the masterclass held in Turkey

The masterclass took place at Impact Hub Istanbul on 28th of September, with the participation of EWA's 2023 entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs from previous years.

A Masterclass event, consisting of a series of workshops, was organised on Thrusday, 28th of September as part of the third edition of the EWA Programme in Turkey.

In order to be able to offer a class of benefit to women entrepreneurs, this addressed many topics from investment to digital marketing, from business development to success stories, brought together different actors from the sector.

At the event, held in person, the turkish entrepreneurs also had the opportunity to share their product prototypes with the participants for the first time.

The day kicked off with a welcome from Foodback and Gülşah Seyhan, con-Founder at Tropaktan, following by a rountable with Ali Şahin, General Manager at Founder one and Mehru Aygül, Investment Committee Member at Founder One explained how the perspective of the investors who go to see the pitching of the startups works.

Continuing with the day, Ilkur Şahin from Foodback carried out a more interactive 'icebreaker' activity with the entrepreneurs and work with them on the latest trends in the agrifood sector.

After a short break that allowed attendees to recharge, the agenda shifted to cover topics relevant to entrepreneurs. Sevcan Çelik Akbayrak, the B2B Marketing Head at UP School, spoke on Social Media and Marketing for Entrepreneurs. Hande Erdoğmuş, Founder of GTMQUEST, then delved into Business Development Tactics for Entrepreneurs.

Then, another short break was scheduled in the agenda, offering another opportunity for networking and refreshments. The next session with Betül Bildik, Sustainability Manager at Metro, and Berat İnci, Chairman of the Board at Fazla, Food Rescue Association, discussed how institutions view the future of food and agriculture technologies.

Afterwards, a 3-hour networking session began, allowing participants to connect and collaborate, sharing their personal concerns with the group.

This was followed by a 40-minute session on 'Women Leaders and the Developing World of Innovation' presented by Şule Laleli, Editor-in-Chief of Fortune Turkey.

The event wrapped up with a 85-minute Networking & Cocktail session, featuring Didem Altınbaşak Tulgan, Founder of Rafinera, and Şule Laleli, Editor-in-Chief of Fortune Turkey.

It can be highlighted that the day was packed with valuable insights, networking opportunities, and engaging discussions, providing a comprehensive look into the world of food and agriculture technologies, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
