EIT Food North & East

The expert forum will focus on the topic of transparency of origin, traceability of agricultural raw materials or foodstuffs and short supply chains on September 9 as part of the accompanying program of the 52nd Nature - Health Fair 2022 "Markets of supply and demand for locally produced food: Green chains". Every day we make decisions about what kind of food we eat. We make this decision for ourselves as well as for others. At the same time, we are insufficiently aware of the quality, safety, impact on the environment and the general reliability of the food product we consume. Not infrequently, we read information about frauds with which food and its ingredients, including packaging, are deliberately replaced, added, interfered with or misrepresented, with the aim of obtaining economic benefit. How can we improve transparency of provenance and what impact does it have on self-sufficiency and short supply chains? During the program, participants will learn about current challenges, trends and good practices in the field of transparency and short supply chains. Who is the expert forum intended for? The expert forum is intended for persons responsible for food procurement, representatives of cooperatives, food producers and processors, students and anyone interested in this field.Entry to the professional event and lecture is free, but prior registration is required to send you a free ticket.
