Tamás Müller, Founder of POZI.io and Women Startup Competitions opened the event with an introductory speech.

After that, Aleksandra Bara, the coordinator of the EWA programme for Northern and Eastern Europe had a keynote speech, she encouraged the Mentees to continue the work that they had started. Then she shared with the audience the vision of EIT Food: a world where everybody can access and enjoy sustainable, safe, and healthy food, with trust and fairness from farm to fork. She also talked about the opportunities that EIT Food programmes provide, like EIT Jumpstarter, EIT Food Accelerator Network, Seedbed Incubator, Test Farms, Sales Booster, Supernovas. It was a pleasure to meet with Aleksandra, her presentation was such a great inspiration for everyone.

Afterward, the jury members introduced themselves to the audience:

Following this, we had the pitching section, where the following Mentees presented their business ideas:

  • TĂĽnde Udvarnoki, Founder of COMPOT
  • Anita KĂ©pĂrĂł, Founder of Borecet

During the coffee break, there was a room for networking. The Mentees and the Mentors had the chance to get to know each other better and learn more about the presented ideas.

We had a long jury session because all the pitches were great, and it was a tough decision time. During the evaluation session, Tamás Turcsán, founder of POZI.io, and advisor at Galaxys.xyz shared his stories with the audience.

But finally, we could announce the winners!

The 1. place, with a prize of 10 000 euros goes to TĂĽnde Udvarnoki, the founder of COMPOT and the 2. place, with the prize of 5 000 euros goes to Katalin RĂ©thy, the founder of Szezon Kert.

Mentors, who supported our mentees during the last 6 months: Levente Vöröss, Tamás Turcsán Péter, Andrea Kurucz, Rita Szerencsés, Éva Tornyánszki, Viktor Borbély, Balázs Horváth, György Káli, Nikoletta Takács, Dóra Nagy. Being a mentor is not an easy thing. Mentoring means different things for different people... like technical and business development, personal development, and core skills.

We are delighted about the EWA Programme! Thank you for the opportunity!
