AMPLE Skopje project launches to empower women in North Macedonia
The AMPLE Program continues its expansion across Europe with the launch of a new local initiative in Skopje, North Macedonia. The project, implemented in the municipality of Kisela Voda by Vita Nova in collaboration with the Municipality of Kisela Voda and the NGO NutriBalans, aims to empower women from disadvantaged backgrounds through food innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive community building.
The news about the project was shared by local press and promoted by partners, including The Forum of Adriatic and Ionian Cities, through their newsletter. The AMPLE Skopje initiative reflects the AMPLE Program’s core commitment to strengthening food security, accessibility, and social inclusion in underrepresented urban areas.
The project combines community engagement, learning opportunities, and business support. Participants will benefit from training in financial literacy, sustainable food systems, and entrepreneurship, while also receiving mentorship and hands-on experience to help launch women-led agrifood businesses. The initiative will culminate in a final showcase, presenting participants’ business ideas and products to the public and potential investors.
By fostering local collaboration and building a replicable model of social innovation, AMPLE Skopje is planting the seeds for long-term empowerment and systemic change in the food sector.
