About this event
The ongoing digital transformation leads to new ways of producing, new products and new business models for the agri-food sector. This industrial wave 4.0 offers significant opportunities as well as challenges for the agri-food value chain.
The Covid-19 pandemic has made this very clear. Both industry and the primary sector have to respond to unexpected challenges and use all means available to recover from the damages caused, to become more competitive and sustainable, but also to increase food safety.
Reliable and correct data across the food value chain are essential to overcome these challenges. Capturing, processing and analysing data are at the core of every digitalisation process. Furthermore, data have to be collected and shared from farm to fork, across the value chain.
This digital shift is not an evident hurdle to tackle. It requests investments, training and support, especially for farmers and SMEs.
What to Expect
With the physical & virtual event, It’s all about data! Opportunities in the agri-food value chain EIT Food CLC West, the ‘Smart Sensors 4 Agri-food’ Partnership and the INNOSUP-01 project S3FOOD, aim to support you on this journey.
