5th Thematic Webinar of EIT Food Alumni: “Scaling & Rising”: Impact Investing in Agri-Food

Fri, May 10, 2024
until Fri, May 10, 2024

Welcome to the 5th Thematic Webinar of EIT Food Alumni “Scaling & Rising: Impact Investing in Agri-Food"!

Why does impact investment in agri-food matter?

According to the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN), food and agriculture are the most common sectors for impact investment. This should come as no surprise as the agrifood industry has a major impact on global environmental and societal issues. Food production accounts for 26% of global greenhouse gas emissions, while agriculture uses up half of the world’s habitable land.

As we witness global shifts in consumer preferences towards healthier, more sustainable food options, there's an increasing demand for innovative solutions that address challenges in food production, distribution, and consumption.

Impact investment in agri-food stands at the forefront of this transformation, aiming to generate positive social and environmental outcomes alongside financial returns.

Throughout this webinar, we'll explore the multifaceted landscape of impact investment in agri-food. See the agenda below & join us!
