Profile

Pulcea is an innovative SME based in Scotland, and our focus is on harnessing the power of physics underwater. Our initial project has developed a successful treatment for sea-lice, a ubiquitous marine ectoparasite which can prove challenging for the farmed salmon industry. To achieve commercial success we work with a range of partners, from academics to large chemical manufacturing companies.

Competences & Capabilities

Main areas of specialisation and technological expertise are:

  • marine physics and in particular how underwater sound can interact with chemistry
  • researching the fundamentals of a new phenomena and thereby being able to successfully scale up the exploitation of it
