Food Careers

Food Careers educational package targets children from the age of 15-18 with a challenge-based approach, building on the local ecosystem and opportunities. The aim is to inspire and encourage young people to study a food-related discipline while raising awareness on opportunities and career tracks in the agrifood sector.

The resource pack has three Modules:

1. Exploring Food Systems

Helps teachers and students improve systems thinking skills while exploring local food systems and innovation opportunities.

2. Food systems careers and jobs

Supports the discovery of the multitude of agrifood careers and also offers a chance for self-reflection with testing and matching the students’ skills and interests with professions.

3. Food Science and Entrepreneurship

Supports students in deepening their understanding on food product development and food marketing and discover the opportunities that are found in different food-related professions.

As a response to this, our ‘Day in the Life’ series aims to encourage young people to consider a career in the agri-food industry, by profiling a range of jobs that the industry has to offer. Chek out the videos and learn more about the opportunities that the agrifood sector has to offer!
