Tech 4 RegenAg
Enabling Technologies for Advancing Regenerative Agriculture in the EU.
Overview
Tech4RegenAg is an innovative initiative focused on advancing regenerative agriculture (RegenAg) within the European Union through the strategic use of cutting-edge technologies.
The project adopts a holistic approach and is organized into seven key action areas work packages aimed to: (i) engage policymakers to create supportive regulatory frameworks; (ii) enhance agricultural practices with data-driven insights and the launch of a new Agrifood data space (RegenAg-X); (iii) foster consumer involvement and trust in RegenAg products; (iv) strengthen human capital through education and training; (v) Collaborate with living labs to test and implement solutions; (vi) report on the RegenAg startup ecosystem encouraging corporate partnerships; (vii) raise consumer awareness to drive demand for sustainable products and empower stakeholders towards a regenerative future.
At its core, Tech4RegenAg aims to influence EU agricultural policies, promote the adoption of regenerative practices, and provide farmers and students with valuable educational resources and training programs. The initiative focuses on developing data-driven support systems and establishing an Agrifood Data Space to empower farmers with data ownership and monetization opportunities while enhancing sustainable farming practices. By enabling collaboration between startups and corporations, it fosters innovation, supports AI-powered solutions, and scales impactful advancements across the agricultural sector. The project also emphasizes raising consumer awareness, building trust in RegenAg products, and effectively communicating the benefits of regenerative agriculture to ensure a broad and sustainable impact.
Who We Serve
Tech4RegenAg is designed to benefit a diverse range of stakeholders, including:
- Conventional farmers, farmers needing support for the transition to regenerative agriculture, or regenerative farmers in need of a monitorization framework to verify the effectiveness of their practices.
- Policymakers seeking innovative solutions for RegenAg policies.
- AgTech startups developing technologies for pilot implementation.
- Retailers aiming to enhance the sustainability of their supply chains.
- Researchers eager to contribute to and learn from advancements in RegenAg.
