Support for the EIT Food Agrifood Investors Network & Connecta2Invest

EIT Food intends to appoint a contractor (single-person company or freelancer) to support the launch, management and monitoring of the EIT Food Agrifood Investors Network and operational management, further development of the Connecta2Invest platform.
Leuven, Belgium
Deadline: 06 November 2026

EIT Food is seeking an experienced independent contractor or freelancer to support the launch and ongoing management of the EIT Food Agrifood Investors Network and the Connecta2Invest platform. The role will focus on building a structured European investor community and strengthening connections between high-potential agrifoodtech startups and relevant investors.

The successful candidate will manage the platform and its community, including member vetting, onboarding, content updates and user engagement. They will also maintain accurate investor and startup data, administer the CRM, prepare reports and support targeted communication campaigns. A key part of the position will be identifying and onboarding investors, supporting fundraising startups, facilitating relevant investor-startup introductions and contributing to online, hybrid and in-person matchmaking events.

Applicants should have proven experience in digital platform or community management, CRM administration, stakeholder engagement, startup fundraising, investor relations or deal-flow development. A strong understanding of the European startup and investment ecosystem is required, together with an established network in the agrifoodtech sector. Experience working in an EU-funded environment, innovation programme or EIT Knowledge and Innovation Community would be an advantage.

The contractor must be able to work autonomously while collaborating closely with EIT Food teams and external stakeholders. Excellent written and spoken English is essential, while additional European languages are considered an asset.

The assignment is expected to require 32 hours per week. The services will be delivered in a hybrid format, combining remote work with regular physical presence at one of EIT Food’s offices, preferably at our head office in Leuven (Belgium) where the investment team is located. The initial contract will run for one year, with a possible one-year extension.
