Expression of Interest for Venture Studio Founders

Seedbed Foundations is a Venture Builder for new Venture Builders.

We are looking for experienced entrepreneurs who want to build something bigger than their next startup: a new venture studio capable of creating and supporting a whole generation of agrifoodtech companies in their region. Successful applicants will work with one of seven established European venture builders, learning from their experience while developing the foundations of their own independent studio.

This will not simply involve writing a business plan. During a three-month Development phase, participants will be expected to get out into their local ecosystem, build relationships and secure real commitments from investors, universities, researchers, government, commercial partners, experts and others who can help make the studio work. 

The process is demanding and competitive, and the Development phase is unpaid. However those who make sufficient progress can apply for a €30,000 grant to establish their studio. Once established, studios can apply for up to €300,000 in co-funding from EIT Food over the first two years to support their operations and begin creating their first startups.

Note: No funding is attached to this Expression of Interest. Future funding will be awarded through separate calls, open to those who have completed prior steps in the selection process.
