This initiative aims to foster entrepreneurship within the agrifood sector and connect local innovators with resources and opportunities offered by EIT Food.

What is the Agrifood Entrepreneurs Days?

The Agrifood Entrepreneurs Days consist of two key components:

  1. Training Programme for Entrepreneurial Talents and Early-stage Startups: Organisers will identify and invite innovative agrifood startups and entrepreneurs for a comprehensive training session facilitated by local and international experts. Topics covered may include business modelling, sales strategies, pitching techniques, marketing insights, global agrifood trends, and local support opportunities. This training, aligned with the EIT Food Competency Framework, will span a minimum of 6 hours and aims to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge.
  2. Networking Event for the Local Agrifood and Innovation Ecosystem: A gathering bringing together stakeholders from various sectors including startups, investors, food companies, universities, research centres, government agencies, and more. This event serves as a platform for dialogue on the challenges and opportunities within the local food system. Additionally, it provides an opportunity to showcase EIT Food's initiatives and collaborate with representatives to address the needs of the ecosystem. The networking event will last a minimum of 3 hours, allowing ample time for meaningful connections and discussions.

Why Participate?

Participating organisations will have the opportunity to:

  • Showcase their commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the agrifood sector.
  • Connect with a diverse range of stakeholders including startups, investors, and industry experts.
  • Access resources and support offered by EIT Food to further enhance their local ecosystem.
  • Contribute to shaping the future of the agrifood industry through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

How to Apply:

Interested organisations are invited to submit a proposal outlining their agenda for the Programme, aligned with the provided format requirements. Additionally, a brief budget proposal detailing the associated costs of planning and organising the Programme should be included. Applications should be submitted by the 15th of May 2024.

Important Details:

  • Both the training programme and networking event will be conducted in person, with the possibility of streamlining to reach a wider audience.
