Deadline: 15/09/2020

Aimed at professionals from the Spanish media, this awards aims to encourage those works that contribute to educate society on the values of healthier eating and improving agrifood sustainability.

After the success of the first call in 2019, the second edition of the Spanish Journalism Award's purpose is to encourage work from media professionals (Press, Radio, Television or Internet) in their work associated with agrifood values, and particularly those that constitute the objective of this Award. Healthy and affordable food, sustainability in agrifood, food innovation, consumer-oriented food, digitization in agrifood... are some of the themes that the writers must write about.

In addition, this year’s award has been announced in an unprecedented context, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, in which both the agrifood sector and the journalism profession have played relevant parts. As a result, this year it will also be possible to reward pieces of work that deal with this sector due to the leading role it has played in this health crisis.

The value of the prizes has risen this year. The winning report will receive 1,500 euros, while the second prize winner will receive 700 euros. The award will be presented at a public event to be held in Madrid before the end of 2020.

We look forward to seeing your work.
