EWA 2025 Italy Masterclass: a Mediterranean journey of learning and connection

The Italian cohort of EWA 2025 gathered in Pollica for a unique masterclass experience combining innovation, nature, and entrepreneurship.

As part of the Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) programme by EIT Food, the 2025 Italian cohort came together in the coastal town of Pollica for an immersive masterclass organised by Future Food Institute. This gathering marked a new chapter in their entrepreneurial journey, blending training, peer learning and connection with the land.

A holistic learning experience

The masterclass combined Business Model Canvas sessions, peer-to-peer exchanges and co-creation moments with a deep connection to nature. Hosted in the Mediterranean town of Pollica, the gathering created space for the participants to refine their business ideas while embracing the values of sustainability, community and food system regeneration.

From walks through the vineyards to open, honest conversations about entrepreneurship, the experience was designed to foster clarity, confidence and purpose, key ingredients for every innovator in the agrifood sector.
