The Awards aim to recognise journalistic work that helps raise public awareness of the challenges and opportunities in the food system — from sustainability and healthy nutrition to innovation, entrepreneurship or digitalisation.

The call is open to communication professionals who have published or broadcast their work in Greek media between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2025, in any format: press, radio, TV, podcast or digital.

Each participant may submit up to three pieces. Entries can be submitted in Greek, but must include a summary of around 10 lines in English upon application to support the evaluation process.

Three prizes will be awarded: €2,000, €1,500 and €750, and the winners will also gain visibility through EIT Food’s communication channels and be involved in relevant future initiatives.

Ready to apply but still have questions?

We’ve got you covered! Join our online info session on 23 June 2025 at 11:00 (Greek time) to get a full overview of the award, learn more about the eligibility criteria, the evaluation process, and how to submit your work successfully.

It’s also a great opportunity to ask any questions you might have directly to the organisers and clarify any doubts before applying.

Don´t forget about Italy, Portugal and Spain...

The call is also open in Southern Europe, where the programme is now celebrating its 7th edition in Spain, 6th in Italy, and 5th in Portugal. A consolidated initiative that continues to recognise and support journalistic excellence in the agrifood sector across the region.
