Every year tonnes of nutritious food are wasted; roughly 1,3 bn tonnes according to the UN. Other foods travel around the globe to reach consumers, and hereby challenging our climate.
Agrain by Circular Food Technology have invented a method to locally recover and up-cycle industrial food byproducts and transform them into sustainable and delicious new super food and ingredients.
We transform the spent grains from beer production into a versatile super flour, rich on protein and fibre, with delicious aromas from the malt it originates from.
Our mission is to to reinvent the food system by vastly increasing the value of sidestreams like the brewer's spent grains, and expand it on a global scale.
