The state-owned Hungarian Innovation Agency (NIÜ) was created with the ambition to contribute to the entire innovation ecosystem, from initiating innovative ideas to effectively tapping into the market, ultimately establishing itself as a generally recognised one-stop-shop in the field of business innovation.

What we do:

• Innovation ecosystem dynamisation: establishing robust relationships both locally and internationally to bolster the Hungarian innovation ecosystem, providing relevant and up-to-date information on the ecosystem, think-tank and advisory to the government
  based on feedbacks from the innovation ecosystem stakeholders
• Helping innovative projects and companies reaching and expanding their market, through assisting and establishing business programs with renowned international and Hungarian companies and other innovation stakeholders, consultancy and connecting
  innovative projects and companies to the relevant ecosystem stakeholders
• Innovation culture forming through programs (e.g. HSUP), reports, research, events, demonstrating of success stories and best practices, knowledge transfer, global partnerships

Tasks:

• Establishing robust partnerships both locally and internationally to bolster the Hungarian innovation ecosystem
• Validating innovative projects and companies and connecting them with the ecosystem stakeholders they need both domestically and internationally through guidance, dedicated programs and for selected companies tailored support as well e.g. financial,
  business development, R&D, tenders etc., in order to help them scale-up on the local and international markets
• Supporting the successful implementation of RDI grants (e.g. through mentoring, project development and other services)
• Human capital solutions: supporting entrepreneurship and promoting STEM fields in higher education
• National and Thematic Innovation Ecosystem Reports and Guides: validated data, analysis, reports, guides on the Hungarian innovation, startup and R&D ecosystem
