The State of Women-Led Agrifood Companies in Europe 2025

EIT Food, in a collaboration with Dealroom, created this report to move beyond assumptions and anecdotes - and to ground the conversation on women-led agrifood companies in evidence.

29 Jan 2026

Despite growing awareness, too little shared data exists on the realities women founders face across Europe, where the gaps are most persistent, and what is holding progress back. This report brings together insights from across the agrifood innovation ecosystem to identify barriers, highlight challenges, and point to where action is needed. Its purpose is to create a common reference point for founders, investors, corporates and policymakers who want to drive meaningful change.
