We used the pre-holiday time to provide education to those who currently need it the most. The current situation caused by the war in Ukraine has given many people who are forced to leave their own country and start a new life in other countries. Many refugees from Ukraine also came to Osijek-Baranja County. We’re happy that a certain part of them have already found jobs and actively work. However, many of them are still looking for job.

The EIT Food program is particularly sensitive to the emerging situation and provides assistance to the Ukrainian people by organizing various activities. One of such activities is the organization of a workshop aimed at improving the practical skills of the Ukrainian people on the Croatian labor market in the agrifood sector.

The workshop was organized by TERA Tehnopolis, EIT Food HUB Croatia, on 21st and 22nd December, 2022. How well the topic of the workshop was chosen is confirmed by the large interest of potential participants. At the workshop, the participants were introduced to important information that is crucial when looking for a job on the Croatian labor market. Thus, the participants were educated on how to create a quality Europass CV and how to create a LinkedIn profile.

The representative of the Croatian Employment Service, Mr. Mario Kovač, gave them all the important information where they can look for current job offers, what is the current demand for new employees, what is important when looking for new jobs for foreign citizens and other information that they should pay attention to when looking for a job in the Republic of Croatia.

The participants are also invited to participate in the programs that EIT Food plans to implement in the next year, which are intended exclusively for refugees from Ukraine.
