The WaSeaBi project is an EU-funded project that works to develop and test new concepts. Its purpose is to ensure that side-streams from aquaculture, fisheries and aquatic processing industries can be exploited for the production of new products and ingredients.
The WaSeabi proejct consortium met up in person for the first time since COVID breakdown in Ghent, Belgium.
The meeting was running for two days straight. The first day, September 9, an hybrid meeting was host by the University of Ghent for a full day and the following day, September 10, all the partners had the opportunity to visit the premises of the partner Nutrition Science.
The WaSeaBi project held the first annual consortium meeting in person after COVID breakdown the 9th and 10th of September. The meeting took place in Ghent, Belgium with more than 30 participants.
Overall, 35 people attended the event, 20 were in person and 15 online. Out of the 20 in person participants, 2 were members of EIT Food, Begoña Pérez-Villareal and Paula Hafner, which presented the exploitation plan for the projects results that will be put into place until the end of the project in September 2023.
