What if a candle could be more than just décor? What if it could be eaten?

That question inspired Snežana Trajkovska to create Candlelicious, the first line of edible gourmet candles in North Macedonia.

Through the AMPLE Skopje programme, Snežana transformed her passion for aromatherapy and food innovation into a fully developed business concept: one that merges culinary artistry, aesthetics, and sustainability. Her invention, Candlelicious, features beautifully designed candles made from local butter, cheeses, herbs, and natural ingredients, which melt into delicious gourmet dips or spreads. Each candle combines taste and aroma, turning every meal into a multi-sensory experience.

“I wanted to create something that surprises and delights people — something beautiful that you can actually taste,” says Snežana. “Through AMPLE Skopje, I learned how to turn this creative idea into a structured business: understanding food safety, packaging, marketing, and finance.”

Her collection includes unique flavours such as sun-dried tomato and mozzarella, goat cheese and basil, and rosemary-infused cream cheese, each one offering a Mediterranean-inspired sensory experience.

During AMPLE’s workshops and mentoring sessions, Snežana worked closely with trainers to refine her business plan and brand strategy, designing Candlelicious as both a gourmet product and a memorable gift item for special occasions.

“The mentors really helped me believe this idea could succeed,” she reflects. “Their feedback and encouragement turned a kitchen experiment into a professional concept ready for the market.”

At the closing conference for AMPLE Skopje at Netaville Skopje, Snežana’s presentation captivated the audience and jury for its originality, scalability, and market potential. Candlelicious was praised as a fusion of innovation and tradition, combining Macedonia’s rich dairy heritage with modern gastronomy and design.

Candlelicious embodies what AMPLE Skopje stands for: empowering women to turn creativity into innovation, and innovation into delicious, sustainable impact.
