Charlotte joined EIT Food in January 2018 as project manager Operations. Her understanding of the organisation’s strengths and weaknesses, her knowledge of EIT Food’s operations / finance and her many years of experience with EU related matters from EIT Food and from previous employment make her the best choice to be EIT Food’s COO. She will now have a vital role in the conception and implementation of EIT Food’s future endeavours. In the past 3 months, Charlotte had already served as the de facto interim COO in the Management Board of EIT Food, making sure all reporting requirements were met on time and the process of the grant cycle could continue seamlessly.
Prior to joining EIT Food, Charlotte worked for the UK National Audit Office ensuring the value for money of government activities in the UK and making recommendations for improvements. Charlotte started her career at Ernst & Young in Belgium in 2010 and progressed to Audit Manager of EU-funded projects, conducting audit and consulting assignments worldwide. Charlotte holds a BSc Hons Mathematics (University of Bristol, UK) and MSc International Business, Economics and Management (KU Leuven, Belgium).
With Charlotte in the role of COO we have a great person in our team to implement the internal, organisational and business process developments required to succeed in delivering our strategy. Please join me in welcoming Charlotte to the Management Team of EIT Food.
