Future Harvest Gains Momentum Across Europe as Applications Enter Final Weeks
With just a few weeks remaining before applications close, Future Harvest is continuing to build strong momentum across Europe.
The programme, funded by the PepsiCo Foundation and coordinated by EIT Food, has been created to help the next generation of farmers develop the skills, confidence and networks needed to build resilient, regenerative and profitable farming businesses. Future Harvest aims to reach next-generation farmers across Europe, responding to one of the sector's most pressing challenges: generational renewal.
Young and aspiring farmers across Spain, France, the Netherlands, Poland and Türkiye are encouraged to apply now and join a growing community of innovators, entrepreneurs and agricultural leaders who are shaping the future of European farming.
Since applications opened, interest has grown steadily across the programme's five participating countries. Behind this progress is a network of local partners that are helping bring Future Harvest directly to farming communities, adapting the programme to national contexts while maintaining a shared European vision.
Local partnerships driving farmer engagement
In Spain, Future Harvest is being delivered in collaboration with Nouterra and Climate Farmers, organisations that bring extensive experience in regenerative agriculture and farmer engagement. Their work has been instrumental in reaching farmers interested in strengthening farm resilience while improving long-term profitability.
In France, the programme is being developed alongside Ver de Terre Production and Biospheres a recognised actor in regenerative agriculture training. Through their local expertise, the partnership is helping ensure that the programme addresses the real-world challenges facing French farmers and farm successors today.
In the Netherlands, Future Harvest is working with Eye For Nature and The Sustainable Smallholder. Together, these organisations are supporting recruitment and programme delivery, helping connect Dutch farmers with practical knowledge, innovation opportunities and peer learning networks.
In Poland, Future Harvest is being delivered in partnership with Ground Up, an organisation working closely with young farmers and rural communities to build skills, confidence and entrepreneurial capacity among the next generation of agricultural leaders.
In Türkiye, the programme is supported by Doktar, one of the country's leading agritech companies. Through its experience in digital agriculture and farmer engagement, Doktar is helping connect young farmers with practical tools and knowledge that can improve farm performance while supporting the transition towards more resilient and sustainable agricultural systems.
Finally, Wageningen University & Research (WUR) contributes as a key educational partner, helping strengthen the scientific foundations of the overall programme and ensuring participants have access to the latest knowledge and expertise in sustainable agriculture.
By combining the expertise of universities, innovation organisations, farmer networks and agritech leaders, the initiative is creating a unique ecosystem where participants can learn from both local experience and international best practice.
