On 1 October 2025, the Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) programme - developed by EIT Food and implemented locally by Impact Hub Bucharest - brought together women entrepreneurs for a full-day Masterclass on sales and pitching.
Through practical workshops, interactive exercises, and inspiring networking sessions, participants gained the clarity, tools, and confidence to communicate their ideas effectively and grow their agrifood businesses. The EWA programme continues to empower early-stage women founders across Europe, helping them turn ideas into impact and accelerate their entrepreneurial journeys.
Sales Training: “From the fear of selling to the confidence of convincing”
Luiza Novac Nomicos guided the entrepreneurs through the fundamentals of sales for early-stage businesses - from defining a clear and credible promise to addressing objections and identifying fast, effective sales channels.
The session featured hands-on activities such as:
- rewriting each participant’s business promise,
- mapping the sales process,
- defining a “Big Promise” and “Micro Wins” for customers,
- role-playing conversations with potential clients.
The atmosphere was highly interactive and energetic, with participants sharing real challenges and receiving immediate, tailored feedback.
Pitch Training: “From idea to a convincing presentation”
In the afternoon, attention turned to one of the most crucial entrepreneurial skills: pitching. Under the guidance of Răzvan Ropotan, participants learned how to present their business story in just a few minutes - highlighting their vision, problem, solution, and impact.
The session combined structure with delivery techniques, including voice, body language, and emotion management. It concluded with live pitching exercises where each mentee refined her presentation and received constructive feedback.
Highlights from the EWA 2025 Masterclass
The day was both intense and inspiring, blending hands-on learning with meaningful networking. Participants left with practical tools, renewed confidence in selling, and a clearer structure for presenting their ideas.
This Masterclass is part of the six-month EWA journey, supporting women entrepreneurs in the agrifood sector through mentoring, training, and visibility.
The EWA 2025 Romania programme will conclude with a Demo Day on 18 November, where mentees will pitch their agrifood innovations to a panel of experts, competing for cash prizes of €10,000 and €5,000.
