EIT Food Job Skills Studio workshop for refugees from Ukraine

TERA Tehnopolis, the EIT Food HUB Croatia, in the cooperation with the Croatian Employment Service, organizes EIT Food Job Skills Studio workshop for refugees from Ukraine. It’s about two-days workshop, on 21st and 22nd December 2022.

15 Dec 2022
EIT Food North & East

The workshop focuses on the improvement of practical competences in the labour market in agrifood sector for Ukrainians residing in Croatia due to the war in Ukraine. Also, the workshop aims to familiarize the participants with the steps necessary to set up the most common types of legal entities in the Republic of Croatia.

Through the establishment of companies in the Republic of Croatia, they would have better access and a greater possibility of using various incentives from EU funds because Ukraine is not yet a member of the European Union. Also, one of the goals of the workshop is to work with the participants on improving their CVs and creating LinkedIn profiles. The representative of the Croatian Employment Service will inform and educate them about how to present themselves to the employer, what to pay attention to during the interview, what to emphasize and so on. Although we are a similar culture/civilization pool, there are differences between the labour market and work ethic/culture/behaviour between Croatia and Ukraine. The above will certainly help them in hiring, but also in keeping their job. Furthermore, the advisor from the Croatian Employment Service will inform the participants about which jobs are in demand in the Republic of Croatia. They will also be presented with opportunities within the EIT Food initiative with an emphasis on internship programmes.
