EIT Food and Isola Announce Partnership to Host Water Management for Sustainable Food Systems Demo Day
Leuven, 7th May 2025 – EIT Food, Europe’s leading food innovation initiative, has partnered with Isola, an innovation hub focused on impact and based in Catania, to co-organise the first Water Management for Sustainable Food Systems Demo Day on 26 June 2025 at Isola’s premises in Catania, Italy.
This milestone event will spotlight breakthrough technologies and startup-led solutions addressing one of the most urgent challenges in the food system: sustainable water management. Bringing together innovators, entrepreneurs, corporates, investors, and policymakers, the Demo Day aims to showcase scalable water-tech innovations that support climate resilience and food security across Europe and the Mediterranean region. Attendees will experience a full day of startup pitches, panel discussions, and networking sessions focused on transforming how water is used, conserved, and managed in agriculture. From precision irrigation and AI-powered water systems to circular approaches and drought-resistant crop technologies, the event will highlight the critical role of innovation in building sustainable food systems. Through this new partnership, EIT Food and Isola are creating a collaborative platform that connects promising startups with the funding, expertise, and strategic partnerships they need to scale their solutions across borders. The initiative also aims to strengthen the Mediterranean Agri-Tech ecosystem by promoting exchange between local innovators and European stakeholders.
