Celebrating the conclusion of AMPLE Warsaw with Urban Farm MOST – showcase of the Holobiont drink
A year of creativity, learning, and community
This September, AMPLE Warsaw, led by EIT Food, celebrated the conclusion of its collaboration with the MOST Cooperative. The project empowered participants, especially individuals with migration experience, alongside other marginalized communities, to explore the rich intersections of culture, food, and community.
Over the past year, participants took part in hands-on workshops that combined ethnobotanical knowledge, practical skills, and social entrepreneurship, culminating in the creation of a one-of-a-kind beverage: Holobiont.
From plant to bottle: creating the Holobiont drink
The Holobiont drink is the result of months of exploration and collaboration. Participants experimented with a variety of herbs and fruits, crafting flavours that tell stories of identity, memory, and cultural heritage. At the closing event, guests had the chance to taste three distinct herbal blends. Each sip reflected the creativity, care, and input of the participants, transforming the tasting into a shared storytelling experience.
A celebration in Motyka i Słońce community garden
The closing event, held on 13 September 2025 at Motyka i Słońce, brought together participants, partners, and the local community. Surrounded by greenery, guests could enjoy the Holobiont drink, learn about the production process, and meet the people behind the project. The atmosphere was vibrant and inclusive, with participants proudly sharing their experiences, discussing flavours, and connecting with neighbours and collaborators.
Learning, experimenting, and growing together
Over the course of the project, participants took part in concept and implementation workshops. They explored ethnobotanical identities, plant symbolism, recipe development, and raw material sourcing. In practical sessions, they cultivated crops, brewed the drink, designed packaging, and prepared promotional materials. The project offered a unique combination of cultural animation, horticultural therapy, and social enterprise skills, fostering both personal growth and community engagement.
