A new partnership between Anadolu Efes and the EWA (Empowering Women in Agrifood) programme will expand the reach and impact of the 2025 edition in Türkiye, implemented by Impact Hub Istanbul.

By supporting five additional entrepreneurs and providing new learning opportunities, Anadolu Efes strengthens its commitment to a more inclusive and sustainable agrifood ecosystem.

A shared vision for inclusive innovation

Anadolu Efes, a major player in Türkiye’s food and beverage industry, is joining the EWA programme as a key corporate partner for its 2025 edition. With a long-standing engagement in supporting the entrepreneurship ecosystem, the company sees this collaboration as a natural extension of its efforts to empower underrepresented groups in agrifood.

“Since 2018 in Türkiye, and since 2022 in other regions where we operate, Anadolu Efes has been running programmes to support entrepreneurship. Just like in many parts of the world, women remain significantly underrepresented in this field,”

“For us, this is not just a partnership; it’s an investment in a more inclusive, resilient, and innovative food future.”

Supporting more women through EWA Türkiye 2025

With the involvement of Anadolu Efes, the 2025 edition of EWA Türkiye will support 15 women entrepreneurs instead of the usual 10. This increase in participants not only broadens the programme’s impact but also fosters greater diversity and exchange among entrepreneurs from across the country.

In addition to the core support provided to the selected participants, Anadolu Efes is also enabling a new series of training modules to be offered. These will be specifically designed for women who apply to the programme but are not selected, ensuring that their motivation and potential are not lost. Through this approach, the programme aims to build a wider pipeline of future innovators in the agrifood sector.

One of the most distinctive aspects of this partnership is the direct access that participating startups will have to the Anadolu Efes network and innovation ecosystem. Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to connect with Anadolu Efes during dedicated sessions, explore potential synergies and benefit from exposure to a corporate innovation environment.

“As a company that defines itself as an agricultural enterprise, we are proud to contribute to the sustainable transformation of the food and agriculture ecosystem by supporting women’s progress,” added Tuba Gökcan, Group Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Director, Anadolu Efes.

This relationship will include mentoring, tailored training and business development guidance provided by Anadolu Efes, aiming to accelerate the commercialisation journey of the selected entrepreneurs and enrich their overall experience within the programme.

Scaling the impact of EWA in Türkiye

With this new partnership, the EWA Türkiye programme reaffirms its commitment to fostering a thriving community of women-led startups in the agrifood sector. The additional resources, connections and expertise made available through Anadolu Efes are expected to significantly strengthen the experience of participants and help scale the programme’s long-term impact.
