MyEasyFarm: helping farmers save resources, improve soil health and diversify income
MyEasyFarm is helping farmers and agrifood companies transition to regenerative and precision farming practices – reducing soil degradation and greenhouse gas emissions. Their data platform helps farms secure new income opportunities and match their CSR commitments.
Many farmers care deeply about the health of their land and want to implement regenerative practices for better future yields or adapt to climate change. At a time when many small farms are struggling to compete, this could be a lifesaver. Regenerative agriculture can help farms save money on inputs such as fertilisers and bring financial opportunities by storing carbon and following certified practices.
However, there is another challenge to overcome. It is notoriously hard to reliably track the amount of carbon stored in the ground. That’s why France-based MyEasyFarm has developed an innovative data solution that is already helping thousands of farms improve practice and unlock new income through carbon credit schemes or premiums.
Regenerative change is hard, and so is tracking it
Agriculture contributes around 12% of the EU’s total greenhouse gas emissions, approximately 380 million tonnes, each year. (1)(2) At the same time, 60-70% of EU soils are now classed as unhealthy, largely due to intensive agriculture, urbanisation and climate change. This reduces soil productivity and damages biodiversity. (3)(4)
To halt and reverse these impacts, and to build a sustainable agricultural future, the sector must adapt. One big opportunity is to improve soil health through regenerative agriculture practices.
What is the goal of regenerative agriculture?
Regenerative agriculture aims to restore soil health, promote biodiversity, optimise water use and strengthen overall farm resilience. It includes agronomic principles like permanent soil cover, intermediate crops, crop diversification and reduced soil tillage. Often, these changes result in agricultural soils storing more carbon. (5)
The EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) and carbon credit markets aim to accelerate this shift through incentivisation. To receive carbon credits producers and agrifood companies must measure, report and verify that they are meeting key sustainability indicators.
But this is challenging because stored organic matter levels vary across small areas and change with farming practices and climate. Measuring it accurately can require complex, time-consuming sampling and advanced technology, making monitoring costly and impractical for smaller farms.
MyEasyFarm: driving the transition
Founded in 2017 as a precision agriculture solution, MyEasyFarm is committed to supporting the sector’s shift towards sustainable and regenerative agriculture. The mission-driven company operates as a monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) platform, enabling producers to reduce CO₂ emissions, increase soil carbon storage, and enhance biodiversity in a quantifiable way.
The cloud-based platform has three solutions for precision farming, carbon farming (MyEasyCarbon) and regenerative agriculture (MyEasySpheres). The platform integrates data from a variety of sources, from fields to farm machinery to satellites, to simulate the impact of changes for the farmer. This enables farmers to make informed decisions that reduce input use and optimise crop cycles.
Verified data is then used to generate carbon credits, creating additional income streams for farmers and helping food businesses to meet sustainability targets. A key differentiator is that MyEasyCarbon supports multiple carbon credit methodologies, including France’s ‘Label Bas-Carbone’, and the international methods of the ‘Gold Standard’ and ‘Verra VCS’. These standards require primary data like soil analysis and information on historical practices to guarantee environmental robustness and credibility.
A more sustainable crop yield reduces carbon emissions. When tracked and quantified through the MyEasyCarbon, this will provide an additional income stream for producers. Ultimately, improved digital traceability and monitoring solutions will strengthen food supply chains and move us closer to our long-term sustainability goals.
Scope 3 Emissions
Importantly, MyEasyFarm helps food producers track the indirect greenhouse gas emissions from a company’s value chain, unrelated to the energy it purchases. [6] These ‘Scope 3’ emissions are notoriously difficult for food producers to monitor, yet account for 70–90% of total emissions – as steps such as fertiliser production and transport often happen outside their direct control. [7]
MyEasyFarm delivers impact in several key areas. Those impacting the farmer at the point of production are:
- Improvement of soil health and productivity
- Optimising farming techniques which reduces chemical use and raw material costs
The regenerative agriculture solution
In 2023, MyEasyFarm began developing a dedicated regenerative agriculture solution in collaboration with BioSpheres, a partner in EIT Food’s LILA4SOILS (Living Labs for Soil Health) Project. The LILA4SOILS project, funded by Horizon Europe and led by EIT Food, brings together stakeholders across agriculture to test and scale regenerative agricultural practices. [8]
MyEasyFarm’s goal is to report and understand regenerative agriculture indicators in terms of CO2 emissions, biodiversity, soil quality and water usage. The outcome was the ‘MyEasySphere’ solution which allows farmers to monitor, verify and report data to meet regulations and commitments and access bonuses and premiums from agrifood companies.

The positive impacts of MyEasyFarm
MyEasyFarm employs 25 people and has supported livelihoods associated with 15,000 farms using thier solutions and 30 international agrifood corporations.
Their largest project is with Cristal Union, one of the biggest sugar beet producers in France, who use their platform to aggregate the data across 8,000 farms in France, which covers 150,000 hectares. (10) This data underpins Cristal Union’s Scope 3 reductions to meet SBTi commitments. Other clients include Unilever (Poland and the UK) and Mars Petcare (Poland).
A 2024 impact assesment, conducted by Open Impact, Italy, determined that MyEasyFarm achieved an Impact Diligence index score of 6.76. (11) (12) The index compares the company’s self-assessment regarding the importance of impact with the actual impact-driven practices it has implemented, with greater alignment resulting in a higher score.
This assessment calculated a social benefit of €175 per tonne of CO2 equivalent. The figure takes account of the cost of monitoring systems and predicted business growth and corresponds to an estimated €90,758,624 of impact by 2023.
As a company, MyEasyFarm commits to the same low carbon footprint they promote through their work. For their 25-person company their annual carbon emissions are equivalent to those of 5 average French people. They aim to become a Certified B Corp by 2026, meaning they meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. (10)
How has EIT Food supported MyEasyFarm?
MyEasyFarm has raised more than €3M to date and is showing excellent market growth, supported by EIT Food opportunities, with revenue increasing more than 40% in 2025 compared to 2024.
As part of the 2024 EIT Food RisingFoodStars entrepreurship programme, they gained a wider reach and exposure to new investor opportunities for their Series A funding round. (13) They are also part of the 2025 Fast Track to Market programme, which will enable them to accelerate market adoption in Germany.
"MyEasyFarm would attribute 15% of our impact to date to the support that EIT Food has provided, helping us scale our impact faster, being a mission driven company, with annual CO2 reporting and ongoing B Corp Certification. It has opened doors to valuable partnerships and market opportunities."
