Workshop - The future of ultra-processed foods
We are excited to announce an exclusive opportunity to share your insights and work collaboratively on the future of ultra-processed foods. We know this subject is important to many of you, and we invite you to join us in identifying areas for further collaborative action and technological progress.
What is the opportunity?
The aim of the workshop is to inspire a dedicated startup challenge for 2025 on the topic of ultra-processed foods, shape an EIT Food Accelerator hub topic, generate inputs for a white paper on the state of play in ultra-processed foods, networking among peers and to deliver against our EIT Food Mission goals, whether that's co-designing proposal ideas for our Impact Funding Framework or other opportunities.
In a co-creative workshop format, we're bringing together a diverse group of food innovators, industry experts, and forward-thinking individuals to delve deep into the realm of ultra-processed foods. Through collaborative discussions, hands-on activities, and interactive sessions, we'll explore:
- The current landscape of technologies relevant to ultra-processed foods: What are they, and why are they prevalent in our food production today?
- Opportunities for innovation: How can we re-imagine ultra-processed foods to be healthier, more sustainable, and more accessible?
- Future trends and technologies: What cutting-edge advancements can we leverage to shape the future of food processing?
Guided by experienced facilitators, participants will engage in dynamic exercises designed to spark creativity, foster collaboration, and generate actionable insights. Whether you're a food scientist, corporate innovator, nutritionist, or simply an enthusiast with a passion for change, your unique perspective is invaluable in shaping the future of food.
