A study done by PWC shows that learners who received VR training demonstrated up to four times the level of focus compared to their peers who received e-learning, and 1.5 times the level of focus compared to their peers in the classroom. However, how effective is that for our participants?
The goal of this event is to test the effectiveness of VR as a training tool for underpinning capabilities. Participants will use virtual reality to practice their communication and pitching skills while getting real-time feedback from avatars in the virtual world and also have the opportunity to participate in an immersive experience targeted towards reducing age-based bias in a work environment.
There will be discussions before and after the session with the participants, where they share their thoughts on VR impacts their learning experience. More to that, this will also serve as a networking opportunity for all. After approximately 2 weeks, we would reach out to the participants to get more insights on the skill retention rate, and to evaluate how much they remember in comparison to the traditional training methods.
The event will take place at the EIT House on 07.05 from 11h to 15h. Lunch will be provided for the participants, however, there are limited spots.
