Join this webinar to learn more about the Diet and Health OIRC (Open Innovation Research Club) and how to apply for funding in 2025 to support collaborative research that can help drive real-life improvements in diet and health.
Six OIRC Hubs fund early-stage innovative research in key diet and health priorities encouraging UK academics involved in nutritionrelated research and food industry experts to collaborate and co-design proposals.
- BIOFORTIFICATION HUB: Improving health and nutrition through biofortification 📈
- CONSUMER LAB HUB: Dietary behaviours to understand consumers’ real-world food 🍇
- INFORM HUB: Functional foods to improve health via gut microbes 💡
- I-NUTRILIFE HUB: Foods to improve nutrition across the life course 🍽️
- RIPEN HUB: Interaction between food and physiology to improve health 👩🏻⚕️
- STAR HUB: Innovative plant-based products for cognitive and mental health 🌱
The event will include presentations from each of the OIRC Hubs with a dedicated panel Q&A session and will conclude with networking opportunities in breakout rooms with each of the Hubs.
All proposals for OIRC funding calls must be led by a researcher based at an eligible UK research organisation and include at least one stakeholder from business as a project partner.
This event is perfect for researchers and businesses looking to network and find opportunities to collaborate.
