Thanks to the adoption of the Smart Specialization Strategy of the Republic of Serbia (2020-2027), Serbia today has defined development priorities based on research and innovation. During the implementation of the Action Plan for the period 2021-2022, a series of measures and activities were implemented to support innovative activities of the business sector, improve educational profiles, encourage research activities through the introduction of tax breaks and a number of other measures aimed at directing the development of the Republic of Serbia towards a highly competitive economy in the priority areas of the Strategy.
The specificity of the Smart Specialization Strategy is its foundation and permanent planning of measures for its implementation through a process of entrepreneurial discovery in which representatives of all stakeholders participate: business, academia, state administration and the civil sector. Assessing your interest and ability to contribute to this issue, we invite you to the Round table discussion on Strategies for Smart Specialization (RIS3) implementation in the agrifood sector, which will be held on November 27, 2024, at NALED Lab, Makedonska 30, ground floor.
We invite you to join us and work together to identify the key challenges facing this sector in the field of research and development and to work on a proposal for a package of measures to address the identified challenges in order to enable further development and guidance of public policy measures within the new Smart Specialization Strategy Action Plan for the period 2023-2025. to reflect the needs of all stakeholders.
