Problem Solving Sessions

Thu, September 12, 2019
until Fri, September 13, 2019

The Problem Solving Sessions will take place on Thursdays and Fridays. It is important that you are there for both days. Please let us know in advance if you cannot make it.

What is a  Problem Solving Session?

It is a 2-day workshop designed to help startups tackle big problems, meet new people and refine their businesses.  A PSS is attended by a group of 30+ leading thinkers and doers (we call them experts) from the startup, social enterprise and agrifood world. And of course, the session is also attended by the 10 startups on our accelerator.

There are two PSS during this years accelerator programme. They are full days on Thursdays and Fridays (09.00 – 17.00) with a dinner between the two days.

The structure of the PSS is made up of two distinct sessions:

Day 1 and Day 2 of the mornings

  • Half of the startups give a short pitch on themselves to the experts and then outline the biggest challenge they are currently facing as a startup.
  • The experts then select which of the startups they feel able to help most in their challenge.
  • The different groups go off and are facilitated through a workshop that is designed to find new solutions to that challenge.

Day 1 and Day 2 of the afternoons

  • The first half of the afternoon, startups are able to book 30 minute one on one meetings with the experts present.
  • During the second half of the afternoon, there is speed networking so that the startups and experts get to interact as much as possible.
