Month of career orientation

The Career Centre of the Biotechnical Faculty, Biofair association and the EIT Food Hub Slovenia are organising the "Month of cereer orientation for Students of the Biotechnical Faculty" under the slogan "More oriented, more courageous!". In three introductory interactive workshops, together with representatives of employers, career counsellors and other experts in the field, we will promote the skills needed by students of the Biotechnical Faculty that are needed on their way to a suitable job.

Want to improve your CV? Do you already know how to prepare for an job interview and how to answer unusual questions? Would you like to talk with a career counsellor about what matters most when selecting applicants: exam grades, practical experience, international exchange, or something else? Would you like to know what employers can offer new colleagues?

Register for the career workshops as soon as possible and join us for the career workshops on Thursday, April 20, Monday, April 24, and Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Milena Zorić Frantar, Head of the Career Centre at the Biotechnical Faculty explained: »Career worshops are for all students of the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana. The workshops will help you find out what kind of job you are suitable for, improve your CV and prepare other necessary attachments for your application. Through fun and dynamic role plays and group work, you will prepare for job interviews and speed dating with employers, and we will take on the role of employers and learn their views on selecting employees.«

Workshop 1: "Shape your CV!" Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.

• Why is it good to have a LinkedIn profile?

Workshop 2: "My psychological profile: who am I and what job suits me?"
Monday, April 24, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

• Career orientation: the perspective of students, successful ex-students and employers
• Workshop with free psychometric tests for participants led by a psychodiagnostician

Workshop3: "When the employer says YES: Prepare for a job interview!"
Tuesday, April 25, 2023, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.

• What is the interview process?
• The most common questions asked in job interviews.
• Practical workshop: body language, video interview and professional profile photography

Participants in all three workshops will receive an EIT Certificate of Attendance.
