About the Pitch development workshops:

The goal of the Pitch Development sessions are for the participants to be perceived by potential audiences as, competent, credible and caring communicators of their business proposition.  The workshop methods are interactive , engaging and practical pitch development , covering skills needed to give excellent and compelling pitches.

The workshops will run over two full days (9:00 - 16:00). During day 1, all participants will work together, and in day 2, they will be split into two groups morning and afternoon 4 hour sessions each.


Combining both skills and knowledge from the Theatre, after this training, the participants will not only know how to feel confident while pitching, but they will also know how to make the most effective pitch possible for any audience.  

The participants will learn:

How to fulfill the needs of the audience

How best to guide an audience through the presentation

How to use the voice to have a big impact on the audience

How to manage their own state and emotions as well as that of the audience

How to use non-verbale and effective language * How to effectively position ones self in relation to the audience 

How to have optimal use of visuals (slides/ props) * How to feal calm and confident while delivering the pitch

 

Day 1:

We will look at Definitions and understanding the role of perception, context, problems and conceptualisation. This is in order for the participants to understand what make the most persuasive pitch/ presentation and why. Theory and exercise on how to provide for the audiences needs, while safeguarding their own. Theory and exercise on how to structure the pitch based on those needs. The participants learn how to best describe their value proposition. Breathing and grounding techniques that will allow them to feel calm as well as confident during pitching, presenting and Q&A’s. Understanding and practical skills in various NLP techniques in how to create rapport, and reframe beliefs. Skills such as, linguistic mirroring, command tones, visual anchoring and values systems. Guidelines on how to create compelling text and visuals, while using the stage.


Day 2 (Split session): Participants will be filmed for 1 minute each, theelevator pitch (Value proposition) + viewing and feedforward on the pitch.
Perfecting the pitch and consolidating all the information from day 1. Participants will have 1 minute each elevator pitch, followed by feedforward.

About the trainer: 


Eldridge Labinjo is a Master Coach of Strategic Interventions (MCSI). Neuro Linguistic Programing (NLP) master practitioner. Dynamic Values System Practitioner.   

After a successful international career as a neoclassical Ballet dancer, followed by 5 years formal retraining in text theatre and becoming a Master Coach. Together with his studies in NLP, Hypnosis, Dynamic Values System and Strategic Interventions, he has more than 30 years professional stage performance experience. This experience has led to not only understanding how to achieve top results under pressure, or how to cope with stressful, demanding situations, but also how to successfully apply both stage craft as well as communication theory, into compelling and successful presentations. He currently works as a consultant in the UK training people who aspire to public office, MEP's and senior British Politicians. He also gives workshops for senior management and members of the businesses community.
