EIT Food Regeneretive Agriculture PRogramme Field Day in Czechia: Regenerative Agriculture in Practice

EIT Food, together with our programme operator Carboneg, invites you to a Field Day at DVP Agro in Bratčice to experience regenerative agriculture in action. This event is part of the EIT Food ScaleUp Regenerative Agriculture programme, which supports farmers and agri-innovators in adopting practices that improve soil health, increase resilience, and contribute to a more sustainable food system.

Through expert talks and field demonstrations, participants will gain practical insights into cover crops, soil management, and carbon farming opportunities, directly from leading practitioners and advisors.

Agenda highlights include:

• Cover crops in practice – composition, sowing, and termination (Rostislav Mátl, DVP Agro)

• Updates from the EIT Food ScaleUp Regenerative Agriculture programme (Adam Šlégl, Carboneg)

• Practical consultancy on regenerative farming – Q&A (Ľubomír Marhavý, Biopratex)

• Carbon programme and Carboneg Field Days (Michal Jonák, Carboneg)

• Field demonstrations at DVP Agro:
  • Harvesting winter wheat with a Shelbourne Reynolds stripper header
  • Direct drilling of cover crops into stripped stubble (no-till)
  • Strip-till sowing of cover crops after conventional harvest (Horsch Focus)
  • Soil probes – comparing conditions in different maize stands
