EIT Food Annual Event 2023 - Transforming Food Systems

EIT Food will hold its 2023 Annual Event in Riga, Latvia on 27-28 June, uniting stakeholders across the food innovation community. The first of its kind event in the Baltic region, the fifth Annual Event is set to unite a diverse range of stakeholders, experts and industry peers from across the entire food value chain to address unlocking barriers to systemic change.

This year’s gathering is expected to focus on transforming food systems, demonstrating the power of innovation in addressing global food and climate challenges through interactive sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities.

Event programme

During our 2-day event programme we have reserved dedicated time for you to connect and start your matchmaking, so join us there! The programme includes many exciting and interesting opportunities for you, just to mention a few:

  • Session on New financial instruments for Regenerative Agriculture with European Investment Bank
  • Building consortia for success
  • Activities and opportunities for partners coming from the EIT Community (former Cross-KIC)
  • Ample opportunity for matchmaking

You can find the full event agenda and more info on the event website.

Opportunity to join consortia building

In Riga, we will share more detail on our Mission-based funding plans which will launch after the summer:

  • Healthier Lives through Food
  • A Net Zero Food System
  • Reducing Risk for a Fair & Resilient Food System

To get a head start on consortia building and proposal planning, we will run our ever-popular matchmaking sessions, your opportunity to meet the right partners and new collaborators who can deliver programmes of innovation in response to this Mission-based funding.

The funding design has been developed in response to Mission Insight Reports, co-produced by our community, and which identify key opportunities and high impact areas for change within the food system.
