Deep Tech Skills Days: Activating the Ecosystem for Talent Development is the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative's first flagship event focused on deep tech education
The event will take place on 12 - 13 November, in Warsaw, Poland, and focuses on activating the ecosystem for talent development and education in deep tech. For two days, Deep Tech Skills Days 2024 will bring together stakeholders committed to skilling, up-skilling and reskilling talents in deep tech fields and willing to network with new stakeholders, as well as individuals eager to connect with companies, training organisations and academia.

EIT Food's role
During the event, EIT Food will host a dynamic panel titled "Bytes to Bites: Growing Deep Tech Skills for the Future of AgriFood" at 14:00h CET on 13 November. The panel unites diverse AgriFood industry stakeholders from the education, corporate tech, and startup worlds to share unique perspectives on the deep tech skills needed to evolve the AgriFood sector. Given Deep Tech’s role as a transformative influence in the AgriFood sector, the panellists will have a candid conversation about expectations vs. realities regarding essential technical, interdisciplinary, and underpinning skills within in agriculture and food industries, and how key actors can provide, encourage, and develop such skills. The audience will also be invited to engage directly with the experts, ask questions and dive deeper into specific topics.
Among the panelists will be Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) programme alumna Manuela Panić from Croatia and one of the programme mentors Monika Borowiecka from Poland.
