Buzz & Connect - women-only, virtual networking round

We’re back with another edition of Buzz & Connect – and this time, we’re celebrating International Women’s Day with a special networking round dedicated to women! 👩✨

⭐️ How it works

  • Opt-in to get matched with another female FoodHIVE member, based on shared interests and expertise.
  • We’ll introduce you to your match over email and send a calendar invite.
  • Conversations will take place on 19 and 20 March, based on availability.

📢 Why join?

Women bring diversity, innovation, and fresh perspectives to the food system, yet challenges persist in leadership, funding, and representation. This networking round is about supporting, uplifting, and learning from each other.

🔗 Next steps

  1. Opt-in: sign up by Thursday, Mar. 13 using this link. ⏱ It takes just 5 minutes to fill out the form.
  2. Get matched: look out for your match on Friday, Mar. 14 and accept the calendar invite.
  3. Show up and connect: attend your meeting or contact your match to reschedule if plans change.

By participating in Buzz & Connect, you agree to our guidelines (listed below).

💡 Who is it for?

All female FoodHIVE members. While this edition focuses on women in FoodHIVE, our broader mission remains to foster an inclusive, diverse, and supportive community. We're organising more networking rounds open to all FoodHIVE members soon.

Have questions? Need help opting in? Just reach out – we’re happy to assist!

Looking forward to seeing the connections unfold. Happy networking! 🐝

Buzz & Connect guidelines

To ensure a positive experience for everyone, please follow these simple guidelines:

  1. Show up & respect each other’s time: if you need to reschedule, contact your match at least 1 day in advance—don’t just decline the invite. Use the calendar invite to find a new time. No-shows impact trust and engagement, so please honour your commitment.
  2. Communication & language: conversations will take place in English (unless both parties agree otherwise). A conversational level of spoken English is required to ensure a smooth exchange.
  3. Keep an open mind: even if you don’t see an immediate benefit, approach every conversation with curiosity—you never know what insights or connections may come from it!

EIT Food reserves the right to remove members from future participation if we notice repeated no-shows, lack of engagement, or violations of these guidelines. If you experience any issues or have concerns, please reach out to us at foodhive@eitfood.eu.
