EIT Food will participate in the Alimentaria Foodtech fair, which will be hosted in Gran Via Venue, Barcelona. From September 26th to 29th the fair will take in several conferences, round tables, networking sessions and other activities focused on machine, technology, and ingredients innovation in the agrifood industry.
After 5 years off the map, the event wanted to reinvent themselves with a new approach called Foodtech Innovarena, a space where startups will present their business ideas and create connection.
IRTA, the knowledge transfer portal of the Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology, has organised the Startups Area to enable networking sessions between startups, key companies, investors, and experts.

What is EIT Food's role?
On September 28th, Carmen Galindo, Key Account Manager, will participate as a jury in the startup pitching programme, which will give the floor to 2 water startups, former participants of EIT Food programmes: Bioazul and Aquadat.
Likewise, Juan Zaffora, Regional Startup Manager, will host the 29th of September a TeamUp showcase table. The session, which will go from 11.00 to 11.45, will focus on the programme and different entrepreneurship experiences.
