The RisingFoodStars Association is a network organisation for successful, game-changing early agrifood scaleups, enabling its members to participate as Partners in all EIT Food activities.

APPLICATIONS OPEN FROM APRIL 1ST – MAY 31ST

This unique pan-European Network provides outstanding young companies access to the network and the opportunity to actively engage in EIT Food’s activities. By joining RisingFoodStars, you benefit from access to our partner network, programmes and specific entrepreneurship support as well as potential customers and distribution channels. All of this provides the opportunity to significantly accelerate your international growth potential.

How it works

  1. Matchmaking: We connect you with the right person within our partners, de-risking collaboration with potential future partners and clients
  2. Exposure: You get an exhibition spot at main EU agrifood events – and we support you financially
  3. Investor network: When seeking for investment, we initiate personal introductions to relevant investors & support you along the process
  4. Traction: We have a structured offering of market development through joint implementation of a pilot project, whereby we foresee funding and support activities  
  5. Scaleup academy: We offer data-driven professional development to identify and tackle specific company gaps
  6. EIT Food projects: You can participate in partly funded projects where you join consortia of leading industry and academia to address the challenges of the food system – from 2nd year onwards

Between April 1- May 31, the yearly call for new members is open on the F6S platform and must be completed and submitted by Sunday 31st of May at 11:59pm.

Hereby, we look for those companies that demonstrate excellence, commitment and complementary towards our current members.

We want early scaleups, existing for less than 10 years, which are past ideation phase with paying customers.  We focus on companies which have a technological solution within one of the focus areas of EIT Food:

  • Targeted nutrition
  • Sustainable aquaculture
  • Sustainable agriculture
  • Alternative proteins
  • Digital transformation of traceability
  • Circular food systems
