Producing high-quality carbon-negative plant-based proteins from microalgae to replace the highly unsustainable soy and animal-based proteins in the food industry.

As a master student in Bioeconomy, I see the need for change in order to tackle the climate change crisis. Since this change can only happen together with the food sector, I want to actively contribute to a successful change towards a sustainable food industry. Long term, zero-emission food is a prerequisite for a prosperous development of our society. Our product is aimed at driving this change. Growing up in Lebanon, my economically challenged home country, which is resource scarce, I started to envision civilization’s transition to a new era of sustainable and more efficient food future, one that creates a leap in the way we produce food while respecting the environment, feeding all people equitably, and enhancing the quality of life.
